David Branch was last seen getting knocked out by Jared Cannonier after failing to implement his grappling game over the very game striker, though it was a late replacement fight and Cannonier was huge coming down from light heavyweight. Hermansson straight up destroyed Gerald Meerschaert in one round. On the feet they should be evenly matched, Branch is the cleaner boxer but Hermansson is the more powerful fighter and I give him the edge on the feet because of David´s suspicious chin. Hermansson likes to mix takedowns too to use his trademark ground and pound, but I suspect he is outmatched here in the grappling department. Branch is a very good grappler himself and has some good takedown ability. He is a Gracie Jiu Jitsu high level black belt to go with it. I suspect Hermansson is gonna want this fight on the feet, while Branch will look to get him down. I see this fight going similar to the last time Hermansson fought a high level grappler in Mutante Ferreira. I fancy Branch to get Hermansson down eventually and submit him as he is the much superior fighter on the ground. If he cannot do it he might find himself having a though night in the office though. The pick here is David Branch to win by submission keeping alive his belt aspirations for the future.
