Emmet returns from a long layoff after being brutally knocked out by Jeremy Stephens. Johnson enters this fight after outpointing both Andre Fili in a questionable split decision and fan favourite Artem Lobov. The style matchup favours Emmet, who has more tools and is more well rounded, although Michael is the faster, crisper striker. I like Emmet to win a decision here, he has the tools to do so mixing his striking with his wrestling, and unless his chin is completely gone from the Stephens fight he should be able to secure the two rounds he needs over a fighter that tends to fade late. Emmet could land a huge punch and take Johnson out, but I just do not see it. Johnson has a granite chin and most of his losses have come via submission or decision. Emmet presents little submission threat and Michael is not gonna shoot and get trapped in a guillotine. Unless Michael cracks him big early I see Josh Emmet outworking him here to win a decision.
